Hi,
Recently built myself a PC with Win2000 Server On, and setting up
a web site. I've been trying to set up my mail account with Outlook
2000. My host provided me with incoming and outgoing server names, (as
I'm with BT Broadband who wouldn't give me an outgoing SMTP as they're
a connection only service) and a user name and password for the
outgoing SMTP server. I can receive mail fine, but can't send any,
they just sit in the Outbox. When I do a send / recieve on the
account, it just says 1 of 1 tasks complete, and doesn't give any
errors. I have installed Norton internet security, but I've disabled
it and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Is this a problem with
access to my host ?? or is there a setting in outlook that I've
missed ?? or something completely different ???
Mark.
