Mailbox Permissions

Hi All

Our team use a general mailbox (Outlook 2003) for sending and recieving
mail. We have added a new user and given them Owner permissions, but they are
unable to send mail as this other user.

Is there any other permissions settings that we ned to change?

to send on behalf of another person, you need Delegate level permission. The
settings is at Tools | Options | Delegates.

Thanx Judy...
But he doesn't need to send on behalf of... He needs to Send As...
For some reason the Owner permission on that mailbox isn't allowing him to
do that.

Send As permissions are to be set by the mail admin on the object that holds
the configured email address in AD U&C.
This cannot be controlled by the end-user from within Outlook.

The proper method to do this by the way is not to assign the Send As
permissions to individuals but to groups. Then delegate the group ownership
to someone (or to another group like a manager and his/her assistant) which
is then able to update the membership in Outlook. Shaves of quite a few
support calls and changes can be made directly by the responsible person.
