mailing labels

Is there a way to import a .xls list to make avery labels using microsoft office 2008? I have nearly 2000 labels to do this weekend and the label program i was using crashed. I am now back to square one. Need to get this job done quickly.

Hi,

Yes, you can use Word's label mailmerge feature - on the Mailings Ribbon.

I feel so stupid. I don't know what i am doing. I open the project gallery. I clicked on mailing label wizard, then the mail manager wizard came up. I selected the .xls but the text from the .xls does not appear. Can you help me?

First of all, forget about the Label Wizard - It's only for creating a
single label or a sheet of the same label content

Take a look in Word Help on the topic: Create mailing labels by using mail
merge. Follow the steps as indicated using the Mail Merge Manager Palette.

Thank you so very much! I was able to finish the Job. It only took a matter of minutes, compared to the 9 days of work i had put in before the crash using the old label software i was provided.
