Mailing List Manager

Mac OS 10.5.3 (Intel)
Entourage 2004
Exchange 2007 SP1

I have a user who’s using Entourage 2004 connected to Exchange 2007 (He also
uses OWA and Outlook 2003 to connect to the same mailbox). Entourage keeps
creating a Mailing List Manager rule that is moving messages from the inbox
of mailbox to the (Inbox on My Computer) in Entourage, causing a problem of
the messages not showing up in Outlook 2003 or OWA

The user is confident that he is not creating the rule in Entourage that
causing the problem. I was wondering if anyone had an insight or a thought on
why this rule is mysteriously created by Entourage

Any help would be mucho appreciated as this user is the CEO ;)

Thank you

Entourage 2004 makes it very easy to accidentally create Mailing List
Manager rules when marking items as "Not Junk".

Ask your CEO to flag one of his messages as "Junk" and then ask him to
show you what he does to mark it as "Not Junk". He's probably selecting
the MLM option and by default those messages will go to the Inbox "On My
Computer".

This behavior was changed, by the way, in Entourage 2008. Have a look at
this blog post:

"Entourage 2008 corrects several annoying behaviors for home users"

Hope this helps!
