I am using outlook 2002. Two accounts created: one pop3, one exchange, they
all point to personal folder. When I highlight a mail from inbox, clike
"organize" icon, selecte move to "personal folder". Mails disappered, but I
could not find them anywhere.

I really apprciate any suggestions.!

open the folder list (ctrl+6) and look for the personal folder -they are
most likely in the top folder (the one called personal folder with all the
folders as subfolders)

Hi Diane,
Thanks for your reply. I open the folder list. There are three folders
there: outlook today -- personal folders
alex wang
archive folder
I can see there are three .pst file located in the default location which
are associated to the above three folders under folder list. But I search
all the folder and sub-folders. No luck.
I even create a test outlook account and sent only one test mail to this
account. Then move it to "personal folder". It disappered. I search all
over the folders from outlook. No luck.
I am not sure if outlook has a default logic or bug: if you move mail from
personal folder to personal folder(not sub folders under personal folders),
it will drop it.
If I was missing anything here, please let me know.

did you look in the outlook today folder? right click on that folder and
choose properties, uncheck the option to show the outlook today page. open
the folder -are the messages there? Also - have you looked in rules to see
where you are moving them to?
