mailto problem

For a moment I thought that I had a real problem, but its not that
bad.
The problem is a mailto: on a certain web page,
in the source of the page I see two email addresses: <a
href="mailto:p[email protected]"> and
<a href="mailto:[email protected]">, when I press either one of
them two things happen depending if outlook 2003 is already running or
not.

1) if it is running an error: Cannot start Ms outlook..."
2) if it is not running it starts Word as email editor, I can fill out
everything except that I cannot find a 'sent' button.

My mailto registry command looked ok.

But then I went to other internet pages with mailto's and there it
works ok, why would one page be different?
