maintaining calendar formats when date range has changed

Can anyone give assistance on how to maintain a changed
publisher calendar template when you change the date range
from month to month? When I change the date range the
calendar reverts back to the original calendar template
minus all the changes I had made. I had saved the changed
calendar.
