Major bug in Entourage

There is a MAJOR bug in Entourage, which renders this product absolutely
unusable to me: accidentally clicking on the any (other than first) day of an
multi-day event makes it, without a warning, the FIRST day of the event (the
entire event is shifted forward, the Undo command doesn't work.) This bug is
so scary that I will try to return Office 2008 and go back to iCal.

What do you mean when you say you click on "the any (other than first)
day of an multi-day event"?

I can make what I *think* you mean happen if I click and drag a
multi-day event bar to another date, but simply clicking on the event
bar doesn't change anything for me.

I mean exactly this: a single click on any day of a multi-day appointment
shifts this appointment forward.Yes, you can also click and drag (as expected)
I forgot to mention that this happens only in the whole month view. I have
a Student Edition of the Office, installed on two different Macs, and in both
cases the behavior is identical. Another, still annoying but less damaging
bug is that in a week view a single click on the top of the day's column
creates a whole day event (it does not happen if you click on an hour within
the day.)

I can't make it happen with just a click, but I can make it happen if I just
drag a short distance _on_the_same_day_.

Yes, it's a bug, yes, I'll report it.

Ah. As Barry said, it seems to happen only when the bar is dragged, even
slightly.

It's hard to differentiate with a mouse, but I can see the difference
with my trackpad. When I quickly click the event, with my finger still
on the trackpad, I can occasionally cause it to jump, but it's very
likely due to my moving my finger a bit.

When I position the cursor over the event, lift my finger completely off
the trackpad, then click the button, I can't get the bar to move.
