major problems when one intends to modify styles lists

This is not a WORD newsgroup, it is an ACCESS newsgroup. Also, you
submitted this as a suggestion. You are not making a suggestion, you are
asking for help with an obvious issue on your system.

Go post a question in one of the WORD newsgroups and someone will help you
figure it out.
