If you open multiple documents in Word, then each of them appears on the task
bar. They all operate as if they were seperate appliactions, which is nice.
Excel looks like it works the same way, with each document appearing on the
task bar. The problem and inconsistancy comes when you click on the big red X
to close them down. If you click on the Close cross in Word, it closes just
that one document. If you do the same thing in Excel, then it closes all of
you documents. In each case it will ask you about unsaved changes, but if you
are expecting Excel to work in the same way as word, you can loose work. I
know I have done it countless times.
I know that they are both operating correctly, but surley they should work
the same way.
