I run a website, www.rupa.org, for 7500 retirees using Frontpage 2002 with
Yahoo as host using the server extensions. I update 2-3 times daily. I use
a cable connection in California, but have been in the UK for 3 months on a
"pay as you go" dialup.

I installed the WinXP SP2 update from the CD after my "midnight PDT" update.
10 hours later I attempted a new upload to the website. I could not even
access the WebHost page!! I struggled for 4 hours, then went to bed at 1am
(local in the UK)When I got up (2 hours ago) I remembered the SP2 update. A
system recovery to pre SP2, allows the web transfers, but now I I have no
SP2.

I need the web access more than SP2, but??

Bruce: Unlike most service packs, SP2 is a major upgrade to Windows XP, and
changes a lot about how the O/S works.

There is a serious amount of studying required in order make it work
properly.
