make table query - change number format to text format

I have a linked table from excel document that is showing
as a number format automatically.

From there I am using a make table command to take the
attributes I want.

My problem is that one of the fields needs to be text, but
it is linking as a number field

Can I change to a text format in a make table query?

Mark - can't you just format the field?
If the Field is named fld1, in your make table query, use
Format(fld1). This will convert your number field into a
text field.
