"Make this your homepage"

S

Shamrock

I have created my own page in FP 2003. It is www.linkmenow.co.uk I would like to add a "make this your homepage", but have no idea what the code is or whether it can be done with Frontpage. If anyone can assist I would be grateful!

(FALLS OVER IN LAUGHTER)

1. UR PAGE TRANSITIONS ARE WEAK AND PHONY
2. WHY WOULD I GO TO YOUR SITE JUST TO CLICK A LINK SUCH
AS YAHOO, WHEN I CAN JUST GO TO YAHOO IN THE 1ST PLACE.

I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN VISIT YOUR SITE AGAIN. LOL U SUCK!!

Ignore the ignorant outburst from ROFL, Shamrock - the fact that s/he
can't even figure out where the Caps Lock key is should be all you need
to know about that... errr.... individual.

However, I would suggest that unless you are a major portal like Yahoo
or CNN or Google, you probably don't need to worry about a "make this
your homepage" thing. Really... we've all seen those on other websites
and we don't use them, right?

Although I tend to agree with the other reponses, I
believe in actually helping people.

You need to use JavaScript.
Here's one link.

http://www.web-source.net/javascript_make_homepage.htm

You can do searches and find other variations, or just
look at the source code of a page you like and copy it.

The javascript program that Not a Jerk recommended is a good one and easy to
use.
The one response from rofl is NOT typical in any way....of the great people
that help at this newsgroup. DO NOT let it bother you at all!!!!!!!!!!

Best to you......
