I used Windows XP on three different computers, the built in DVD copying
program.
I attended a Windows Vista Workshop at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday. The
Microsoft rep told me that it was that Office 2007 uses a special compression
program and that is why I can't make a back-up onto a DVD. However, I can
probably copy it onto a USB drive which I will try next. If not he also told
me that the downloadable trial version is that same that is on the DVD and
since I have an activation code, I can download that if the DVD is lost.

Like pulling teeth around here... Windows 2000 or Windows XP or Windows
Vista or what? Are you using Windows Explorer or My Computer or a DVD
authoring software program (and which one)?
The error message is: Windows encountered a problem when copying the file.
What do you want windows to do?
:
Then you need to post the exact error messages and stop making us have to guess what the problem is.
