Making a Note On An Incoming E-Mail Message

S

Steve

I would like to know if it is possible to make a note to
an incoming email. I would like to be able to read an
email and then be able to make a note on the bottom or
someone in the body of the email for me to reference at a
later time.

I am running Outlook 2002. Does anyone know if this is
possible within the program or if there are any Add-Ins
available or if there are any programs that compliment
Outlook 2002 that would be able to do this.

If you have any information at all, please email me at
(e-mail address removed)

Any help would be appreciated!

there aren't any notes addin to attach to the message but you can use
Journal or Tasks for notes and attach the message to the journal or task.

You can "Edit" a message and place your text in it
then save.

I use the FLAG field for this.

Right-click on the Header in Outlook
Select FIELD CHOOSER...
Select FOLLOW UP FLAG and drag it to the Header in Outlook.
Then When you read a message, Select the FLAG icon
Type a note in the FLAG TO box (ex: Very nice person)
Click OK
Close the message.
Your note will be visible in outlook or when you open the message
and select the FLAG icon.
