Making business cards

The answer to this question may be simple, but it sure isn't intuitive.

I'm using Word X to make business cards for my wife's photography studio.
I've put together a design in one card-holder space, in the upper-left-hand
corner. Then I call up Data Merge Manager and hit the "propagate" button.
And, yes, the card propagates.

But on each card except the first is a <<Next Record>> message that I can't
get rid of, and that actually prints out. Obviously it thinks I'm doing a
data merge.

How do I work around that?

Thanks!

I've tried deleting each <<Next Record>> by hand, and - at your suggestion -
tried search and destroy. It looks good, but Word quits when I try to save
the document - even when I "Save As" under a different file name.

Perhaps I just need to reboot. But I also have to believe that there's a
direct way of doing it, and that I shouldn't just have to do a workaround
like that.

Have you tried Avery's "Clean Edge" business cards? I've been using
them for quite some time. They are excellent. You can get them at
Staples for about $15 (less at
<http://www.provantage.com/pr_28430.htm>). Just create one card in a
cell, then copy and paste into the rest of the table cells

Avery Word business card templates:

Another method is to use Excel. One sheet of multiple cards with
entries referencing the first and another sheet with everybody's
details, with a macro to point each entry at the card sheet in turn.
The ability to adjust column heights makes a simple job of lining them
up with stationery. (I cheat and take to a stack of 200g A4 card with a
guillotine)
