When I hit links now, I get the Chinese version of the web page. Prob due to
my wife using hotmail in Chinese. How do I insure that I get English versions?

I don't know the answer but this is just a friendly FYI. The word 'insure'
is usually followed by 'against' meaning that you *don't* want something to
happen. 'Insure' and 'ensure' are another of those commonly confused words
that sound vaguely similar but have almost totally opposite meanings.

Others include: - 'effect' and 'affect' and 'except' and 'accept' (I'm sure
there are more, but those are the two that spring readily to mind).

So, by saying "how do I insure I get English..." you're actually saying that
you /don't/ want English! The correct word, in this instance, is 'ensure'.

Your wife may have selected Office Worldwide at an Office site and then
selected a Chinese language region. The selection sticks. You can go to the
Office site you are getting now and select Office Worldwide and then an
English language site of your choice. Or, you can try going to the US site
and selecting Office Worldwide there and the English language region you
desire. One US site is:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx
