Hi,
I just started using MS Infopath, and am quite impressed. I have designed a
Purchase Order request form, with the data source being a backend MS Access
database. All is fine with this. What I ultimately want to achieve,
however, is to make this a workflow document. It would work like this:
1) PO Requestor fills out the PO Input form. They click on a "Send for
approval" button and the form gets e-mailed to the manager.
2) The manager opens the attachment, approves the order, and then clicks on
the 'Send to Purchasing' button, and the attachment goes to the Purchasing
Inbox.
I have tested this with a co-worker, and I am able to get the form to email
(using the email 'submit' feature) fine. However, when he receives the
attachment (we are using MS Outlook), he cannot open the .xml file. He gets
the message "Infopath cannot open the following file: PORequest.xml "
Can anyone suggest a way to rectify this situation ?
