Been trying to find some example for resource loading man hours. I don't
necessarily need costs (costs will be via field) but I do need hours. We
aren't wanting to get as specific as indentifying names of people or
even their titles. Here is what I got, the project consists of the
following:
Section 1
Pipe Gang
Firing Line
Tie Ends
Clean Up
Section 2
Pipe Gang
Firing Line
Tie Ends
Clean Up
Section 3
Pipe Gang
Firing Line
Tie Ends
Clean Up
Section 4
Pipe Gang
Firing Line
Tie Ends
Clean Up
The section will run 1 2 3 4 with (1) Pipe Gang Crew going from
1...when finishing 1 will move to 2 and so on. The same people will be
on that crew. Their crew size will ramp up @ the beginning of the
project remain steady and then slowly dwindle down to 0 towards the end
obviously.
How in the hell do I show this keeping it ultra simple and without
revealing our proprietary information.
The various crews encompass various skilled workers and I just think it
would be a pain to break it out that specific.
Any thoughts or recommendations?
Can I do it by Crew and ramp the hours like I want etc...and spread the
estimated man hours across the project for each given crew?
