Manage issues based on Outline codes

Hi all,
Is it possible to assign usrers to say a resource manager based on outline
codes for example we create a user who belongs to Resource Manager Group and
should be able to manage resources in USA only and the otherone may manage
resources in Asia. And a super user who can manage all the resources.

Yes, it is entirely possible to show Project Server "who manages whom" using
the RBS field and Categories in PWA. First, you will need to build the RBS
outline code structure to mimic your organization's "org chart." In the
example you gave, you might build an RBS code structure that looks like
this:

Corporate
USA
USA Team
Asia
Asia Team

Second, you will need to specify an RBS value for each resource in the
Enterprise Resource Pool to show where they fit in the "org chart" and to
show Project Server "who reports to whom. Using your example, you would
attribute an RBS value for each resource as follows:

Resource RBS Value
Super User Corporate
USA Manager Corporate.USA
USA Team member Corporate.USA.USA Team
Asia Manager Corporate.Asia
Asia Team members Corporate.Asia.Asia Team

Based on this RBS and the RBS attributes for each resource, you can
configure the My Projects and My Resources categories so that each manager
can only see resources below them in the RBS code structure. The Super User
would see everyone in the system, the USA Manager would see only USA team
members, and the Asia Manager would only see Asia team members. Hope this
gives you some ideas on how to proceed.
