Manage Office licenses in Active Directory?

Hi,

Now posted in this forum...

One of our customers told me that it is possible to manage Office licenses
with Active Directory and wants to know how.
I have never heard somthing about this.
Is it realy possible and if it is, how?

Hi Mak,

What are you trying to do when you say you want to 'manage' the Office licenses?

You can use Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO) for deploying and managing Office.

http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2003

If he's referring to a 'concurrent user' model for licenses for MS Office that hasn't been available for Office 2003 and earlier.

Hi Bob,

thanks for your answer.
He told me something of managing Office license restriction with Active
Directory.
I think I have to ask him what he exactly means or wants to do.
