Manage Project Web Access Sites Failed to Provision

T

tahoe4mug

Running SQL2005 backend server and IIS 64 bit frontend server.

3errors in event viewer.
1. /ssp/admin could not be created.
2. Safemode did not start successfully.
3. Provisioning PWA. Error provisioning site or database.

Is there any logs that can give me more specifics? I can get to the SQL db
using my admin account and a service accounts setup for both servers to run
the services.

Help!!!

Have you got any other servers in your farm? If so, ensure the project
binaries are installed on each.

Check the SSP admin account has bdcreator and security admins roles in sql
and is a local admin of the wfe/app server.

You can check the ULS logs for additional information (central
admin/ops/diagnostic logging with give you the location).

Also, if the base OS is 2008, you need to slipstream PS2007 SP1 into the
install binaries.
