I just installed Project Server 2007 to a stand-alone computer. The
installation finsihed successfully and after completing the Sharepoint
configuration it's trying to display the Manage Project Web Access
page. It's prompting me for credentials (basic authentication window).
Is there a default user I can use? Thanks, Eduardo

If you completed the configuration of Project Server and the PWA site,
the only user that can connect to PWA initially is the user that you
specified as the Project Server administrator during configuration.

You shouldn't be prompted for a login unless you are using a different
login then what you installed it with. If you are on the same login,
try adding the address to your trusted sites, then go in and make sure
its set to automatic login with current user name and password. Good
luck.

Thanks, I'm now past the basic authentication windnow, but I'm now
getting an "Unknown Error" from Sharepoint. The event viewer shows
the following error: "The channel 'ipc client' is already
registered". I rebooted the machine and it now works. Although I do
see a .NET Runtime error: "The description for Event ID(0) in Source
(.NET Runtime) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the
necessary registry information or message DLL files to display
messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /
AUXSOURCE=flag to retrieve the description; see Help and Support for
details. The following infomration is part of the event: Unable to
open shim database version registry key - v2.0.50727.00000.

I'll continue testing... Thanks again.
