Manage Sharepoint Services from Project Server

When trying to manage SharePoint Services from within Project Server (all
current - new install - Windows Server 2003, etc) I find I can't connect to
the sharepoint server, even though all the components are operational (from
more than one connection point or method; i.e. Outlook, MS Word, MS Project
Pro.)

The error I receive is:

"There are now site templates installed on the specified server running
Microsoft Sharepoint Services.Check if the server is properly extended with
Windows Sharepoint Services."

As far as I can tell the server is operational - I can go to the server and
create sites from Sharepoint templates, from Project templates, and I appear
to have control of all aspects, but not when I'm going there from Project
Server.

Any idea what's missing?

Barry:

Are you the only person having this problem? How did you
add yourself to the Enterprise Resource Pool - AD or
other?

Thanks for the reply,

At the moment, there is no one else using the system - I'm testing right
now.

As for adding to the pool, I believe this was done via AD.
