I am having difficulty sustaining progress on unresourced tasks
(particularly milestones) in MSP 2003 when "Managed Periods" is switched on
in PWA.
For example create a plan with a start milestone, 1 task and, an end
milestone, save it to the enterprise database.
Now set all 3 tasks as 100% complete. After the first task a dialogue box
will flag that actuals in the project may become out of synch with actuals
updated from timesheets. As we have no assignments on these tasks this
should not be a problem. On saving the progressed plan, a dialogue boxed
prompts you to synch with protected actuals. If you respond yes then
progress is removed from all 3 tasks. If you say no data is saved, however
everytime you save or open the plan the dialogue box keeps popping, and its
only a matter of time before you give the wrong answer.
So, how do I progress milestones with Managed Periods ?
