Manager for individual tasks

We use Project Pro 2002 with Project Server. When publishing task
information to Server (Collaborate, Publish, Re-publish assignments) there is
an option to become the manager for the tasks you are publishing. We have
found that this allows us to have different managers for different tasks,
meaning different managers receive the updates from Team members, depending
on the task being updated and who is designated the manager for that task.
This seems to be working fine with one issue - we can't figure out how, in
Project, to display who is currently designated the manager for each task.
I've gone through the entire list of fields under the "Insert column" dialog
and can't find one that contains this information. I know it has to be there
somewhere since Project Server uses it - does anyone know how to display this
information in Project?

Mike,

The person to publish each assignment has the option to become "assignment
manager" rather than a task manager. And from what I know, I don't think
there is a way to see the assignment manager field in Project Pro since it is
stored in Web tables in the database.

In PWA, however, this field is called "project manager" for assignments,
which is somewhat confusing. For instance, if you go to [Admin->manage
views] and modify the Assignment-Summary view, you can actually add this
"project manager" field in that view and so if someone goes to
[Resources-View resource assignments], they can see the "project manager" for
each assignment of that resource.

Sorry that I don't have a complete answer for you, but I thought this might
be a step forward.

Eren,

That worked, but it's time consuming to view the settings for an entire
project when you can only view the information by resource, since not all
resources are assigned to my project. Is it possible to display that same
field in a project view, rather than a resource view?
