Using Project Server 2003
Our goal is to enable Project Managers to easily identify the correct
Resource Managers by group, function, & title to apply by task. (This is
outside of using the Resource Wizard)
Resource Managers do not have access to Project Professional; we want to
assign Resource Managers (Not Generic) to tasks and let them delegate to
their Team Members using the PWA.
I tried to add 8 permanent “Group†filters to the “Build Team from
Enterprise†screen, however, I can only create these for specific projects
and “Organizer†filters look at currently assigned project resources only.
I have added Enterprise Outline Codes 21, 22, & 23 (skill codes) to define
resources by major group, function, and title. I have updated all Resources
in Enterprise Pool.
1) Where would one find the screen to create permanent filter selections
to the “Build Team from Enterprise†screen?
2) Is it possible to set a “Group by†default in the “Build Team from
Enterprise†screen to support the permanent filter when selected? I want to
reduce the number of choices available.
3) Is this the best way to approach this problem?
