Thought I'd take this opportunity to re-ask a question I posted a few
days ago that's related to calculation.
The answers I received were not out and out "no - you can't do that" so
figured I try again.
Question;
Is there anyway that you can stop a calculation in process? i.e.
similar to a CTRL-BREAK that halts a macro?
One answer I received was to hit escape, which doesn't always work
according to the responder, which never works for me.
I run into the problem if, for ex, I've entered a large lookup and
didn't "Paste-Special". Of course when I go to do something else XL
re-calcs the spreadsheet and I'm forced to sit there waiting for it to
perform a completely redundant process (made even more
aggravating.because it's my fault!)
I notice that if I click a cell that XL appears to suspend the calc but
I don't know if this is "window of opportunity" for me to do something,
and if so, what?
Again, just thought I'd ask as it seems related to the op's query.
