Mapi32.dll error ... Please help

G

Gino

I can't start Outlook 2003.
I tried renaming mapi32.dll and running fixmapi.exe .. but fixmapi.exe gave
this error: LoadLibrary: GetLastError = 126

I can't start outlook and everything related to it which is very important
to me.
I can't use CHANGE feature in Add/Remove section ..
And I don't want to Remove Office 2003 because I dont' want to lose any
files, contacts, etc.

I can't run setup: I get a Windows Installer error: No valid sequence could
be found for the set of patches.

What's going on with my system?

Also .. upon starting Search window to look for mapi32.dll, Windows Explorer
crashes and restarts the taskbar ...
Please help out .. thanks
Gino

I've got the same exact problem. Computer was fine at night, and in
the morning i got these exact same errors.
I installed sp2 two weeks ago and everything appeared to be fine; but
last friday my c_1252.nls, c_437.nls and l_intl.nls files were
corrupted and needed to be reinstalled. there isn't much on the web
about this, but if anyone knows anything your help would be much
appreciated.

thanks.

Was there ever a resolution to this?? I've got a user with the EXACT
same issue. In this case, it's Office 2k3 Pro, installed in Windows XP
via Win2k3 Active Driectory Group Policy. I have more than a dozen
users working flawlessly, but one spontaneously came down with this.

One thing that corrects it temporarily: If I use "Detect and Repair"
from the Help menu, and specify to reset the registry settings, then I
can reconfigure Outlook to correctly access the user's Exchange
mailbox. However, as soon as I reboot the computer, the problem is
back.

Little help?!?
