Outlook crashing with missing MAPI32.dll

Hi all,

First off all this computer has WinXP-SP3 and Microsoft Office 12 Enterprise
edition.

I am having this strange issue.
Outlook 2007 (SP2) crashes with the following error:
"The necessary file MAPI32.dll wasn´t found in the path. Please re-install
Microsoft Office Outlook." (This a translation from the original error wich
is in portuguese).

In event viwer I get this:
"Faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6423.1000, stamp 49b08185,
faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.5781, stamp 49c4f4ba, debug?
0, fault address 0x00012afb".

I run scanpst.exe both in the outlook.ost file and the archive file (*.pst)
which found and corrected several errors. But when I (re)start outlook it
starts to update the folders but after (more or less) 2 minutes crashes and
asks for restart, showing the errors previously discribed.
I have already unistalled Office 2007, renamed the outlook folder that
exists in the "%userprofile%\local settings\application
data\Microsoft\outlook", re-istalled office 2007 but the error keeps comming
back!

What can I do? Is there a way off re-installing MAPI32.dll? Is it enough to
copy the missing dll from another computer and run REGSVR32.exe?

Thank you all.
