MAPI32.DLL

Not to sure where to post this question, so I figured Office would do since
this is an Office related question.

I recently had to reinstall MS Office 2003 to my desktop computer. The
installation appears to have worked fine, but I now get an error message when
trying to load MS Outlook 2003. It reports the following error:

Cannot Start MS Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is currupt or the wrong version.
This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please
reinstall Outlook.

Now, I did install Office 2007 Beta 2 on my computer. Outlook 2007 worked
fine, but disabled Outlook 2003, which I can understand. Subsequently, I
uninstalled Office 2007 and also perfromed an un-install of Office 2003 so
that I could do a clean install.

I re-installed Office 2003 Professional and now I get the preceeding error
message when trying to run Outlook. This is a problem since I have an Access
application that is integrated with Outlook and no longer works because
Outlook cannot load. How can I resolve this issue?

Steps I've taken: I've done a full install from scratch, I've done a repair
and I"ve done a re-install. Neither of these options have fixed the problem.
So, at this point I have no idea how I'm going to fix the problem. I need
Outlook to run so that I can continue to develop my Access database using
Outlook.

Any help would be appreciated.

Find and rename your MAPI32.dll file to MAPI32.old and run the Office repair
from Add/Remove Programs.
