I have about 45 remote offices each with a single PC that
is not a part of our domain. They do have a user account
and mailbox on the domain which they dial in to to get
mail. Normally when they connect by starting Outlook they
then get a dialogue asking for username/domain
name/password. Just recently sometimes Outlook doe not
offer a login and goes straight to "cannot open default
folders" message. Task manager shows mapisp32 running
although outlook is closed. Killing this task then allows
outlook to open normally. Why would Mapi32 fail to unload
on exit of Outlook?
