Margin adjustment

I am using Word 2003 and cannot get the margins to be 1" all around. When I set these it prompts that there is a problem - when I choose fix is sets the bottom margin to 2.67". When I choose ignore it still cuts off at this point. I've used the printer for years with Word 2000 and never had a problem. Any ideas?

There is a known conflict between Word 2002 and the HP drivers for certain
LaserJets. Evidently this is a problem with Word 2003 as well. The "margin
fix" drivers at
http://www.hp.com/pond/ljbeta/index.html have reportedly solved the problem
for many users.

is there a way to setup different margins on the upper
half of a page from the bottom part of the page?

You mean different top and bottom margins or different side margins? If the
former, then yes, of course. If the latter, no, but you can use paragraph
indents to change the effective margin.

The problem may be solved by using the PCL5e driver
instead of the PCL6 driver. This fixed the problem when
printing from Word 2003 on XP Pro to an HP 4000n. If
shared from a server you must update the driver there,
then obviously reload the driver on the client PC also.
