Margins set outside printable area: Problem fixed in Office 2003?

Like many other people posting to this group, my wife has had a
"printable area" problem in Word 2002. Specifically, she gets this
error message:

"One or more margins are set outside the printable area of the page.
Choose the Fix button to increase the appropriate margins."

We're tempted to update her software to Office 2003 SP1, but we
hesitate because we don't know if this layout bug has been fixed in
the latest version.

Does anyone have any good news for us? Are users of the current
release still getting this annoying error msg?

Let me know.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I do not believe the problem is with Office, it's with the printe
driver you are using. We had thsi problem where I work (large schoo
district), when trying to print to a LaserJet 2100 printer. I switche
the driver from the PCL 6 to a PCL 5e and the problem went away.

Best of luck,

Jaso

Jason,
I get same problem as Steve. Don't think solution is print driver. Print
driver is (posted) solution to message about margins being outside printable
area in a certain section, when trying to print. This message, "One or more
margins are set outside the printable area of the page. Choose the Fix
button to increase the appropriate margins.", occurs in Page Setup. The user
loses with both Fix and Ignore buttons. Click Ignore, and Print Preview
shows I lose a portion of the bottom of the page (the margin Word is
tampering with). Click Fix, and Word changes the bottom margin to 2.67
(fouling up a vertically centered page). This must be a bug (in Word 2002).
Is there a fix?
Thanks,
Zane
