Marks around email address when I try to send

An email address usually consists of two parts, a) the actual address,
and b) the name. At the end the two will be combined, appearing within
apostrophes. If there is no name, it is just the address that appears in
apostrophes.

Why your messages won't be sent is another matter; please provide some
details:
- Outlook version?
- account type?
- error message you get when you try to send?

P.S. don't publish your email address (or anybody else's) in public
places like this; spammers love when you do that!

i am using version outlook office 2003(11.8217.8221) sp3

when i try to send it just sits in the outbox. When I put the address on the
email it looks right [email protected] when i open it in the outbox to
see if something is wrong with it it looks like this '[email protected]'
and it will not send. for some reason those marks are getting on my address.

It is a pop3 account, i also tried imap and outlook connector. it does it no
matter what. I have used office for years and have never had this happen.

Thanks for replying!

my address start off looking right then when i compose a new email they
change to this, '[removed]' and then they won't send.

What you see on the To line has no bearing whatsoever on the address to which
the message is addressed. Double-click that string and you'll be able to see
the address Outlook will use.
