Master Document Missing Links to Subdocuments

Upon opening my master document the links to the sub documents are missing.
The sub documents are in the correct file location. How did this happen and
can I have the links return with out inserting the documents again?

Mmmm. The Master document feature is known to be unstable, which is why many
people avoid it... Which version of Word are you using?

Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600

There is no Word version 5, never was. 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
11... and 12 is the latest. Look in Help about for Word,
not Windows.

Well... Yeah, there was - _eons_ ago on the Mac:0} The way folks are getting
misdirected through the forums that is a possibility. Unfortunately, Master
Docs are no more stable there than on the PC.

Unfortunatly, I was able to recreate the event.

The links dissapeared becuse I saved the document with expanded
subdocuments. Obviously a quirk in my system when using Master Documents.
In order to not lose the links I have to collapse all the subdocuments, then
save.
