Hi folks. I've been scouring this board today and got some great insight
into how to use Master Projects. I bit the bullet and tried to create one.
The operation was a success, but the patient disappeared!
Here's what I did:
Logged into PS2003 from MPP 2003 and opened 3 projects. These projects
should be the sub-projects. I then created a new project called
test_master_project. All the sub-projects showed up embedded in this new
project. I then saved the master project. I confirmed that the server
settings were configured to allow master projects to be saved to the server
and master projects are NOT allowed to be published.
The problem arises when I log into PWS and go to project Center. The new
Master Project does not show up. When I go to clean up database, the master
project I just saved appears in the list of projects on the server, so it
saved successfully. When I reopen MPP and log back into the server, the
master project appears in the list of projects available to be opened.
Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
Many thanks.
