Master Project settings in Server Configuration

Missy

On Server Configuration in PWA->Admin, I unchecked
- Allow master projects to be saved to Microsoft Project Server
- Allow master projects to be published to Microsoft Project Server.

But why is the master project still displayed in the Project Center? Is this
suppose to happen?

Hi

That setting is effective at the point of save ...

Existing master projects will not be thrown out of the project server when
you deselect saving and publishing master projects

However, if you open the master project you will not be able to save it or
publish it again

Hope this helps

If you disabled the settings AFTER someone already saved a master project,
the system will not automatically delete any master projects currently in
the database. If you don't want master projects, you should delete the
master project using Admin - Clean up Project Server Database. The settings
you deselected will prevent anyone from saving or publishing a master
project in the future. Hope this helps.

So how do you 'throw' the master project out of the Project Center View? I
have decided to keep saving the master project but don't want it to be
published.

I opened the master project, made some changes to it and it still seems to
appear on the project center view.

I understand now. Thank you. You see I have already published the master
project so that is why it doesnt work. I know what to do now. Thank you
