Master Projects and PWA

Brad

Hi,

I'm experimenting with Master Projects. If I make changes to sub-project
from a Master Project and then do a Publish New and Changed Assignments,
shouldn't the changes then show up on Project Web Access in their individual
project records?

I have published each sub-project and not published the Master Project.

What I'm seeing is that the task within the sub-project is being sent to
Outlook as a task owned by the Master Project and I don't see it listed in
the sub-project on PWA.

Shouldn't I be able to work on Sub-projects from a Master Project and
publish changes in sub-projects from a Master Project?

Phew!

Thanks,
Brad

You should never publish any changes from inside a master project. You
should only do so with each individual project. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale, I was afraid you'd say that. So if I have say 100 projects and
want to link tasks amongst projects, I should make the changes from within
the master project, save it and then open the affected sub-projects and
publish them individually?

Again, thanks for you help Dale.
