Master Projects

Can someone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of
using Master projects? I see a problem with this strategy
in Project Web Access.

Saving master projects is not a problem, the issue is with publishing them.
If you publish both a Master Project and it's sub projects, you'll
effectively double all assignment information in Project Server. Thankfully,
you can allow Master Projects to be saved and not allow them to be published
as these are two separate permissions set in Project Server.
