Masterpage Query

Hello Folks,
I have many small items on the masterpage and find it can get quite
frustrating sometimes when working on a document to have "This item is on the
masterpage, to switch ..." all the time.
Please can you tell me if it is possible to disable this message whilst
still being able to view the masterpage items on screen. I know this is a
long shot, but thought it would be worth a try anyway.

Your help is and always has been very much appreciated.

Tools, options, User Assistance tab, uncheck Show tippages.

I don't know why, but had told myself for over 12 months that this was
impossible!

Please can you let me also let me know that if I saved a document with this
feature turn off and then emailed it to another person, would it be
guaranteed to be turned off when it gets re-opened. In other words, does it
save with the document just as the printer info gets saved.
Also, what other tippages gets turned off when de-selecting this.

Hi Big Rick,

If your recipient doesn't plan to edit the document there would be no reason for
the tippages to appear and if he/she is a long time Publisher user I wouldn't
think the tippages wouldn't show up anyway.

I haven't had tippages turned on for years, I really can't tell you what is
missing. If you have had them turned on all this time, you are better informed
than I am. I did turn them on, so far the only tip that appears is the master
page balloon.

This is from help:

Tip pages are learning tools that appear on screen the first time you use a
particular function, such as text frame linking or grouping. You can force
Tippages to appear for features you have used previously by clicking the Reset.

That paragraph seems to indicate tippages are a one time only deal.
