match color in clipart to font color

There is a way to match the font color in a text box to a color appearing in
a piece of clipart perfectly using paint formatter, but I've forgotten the
steps on how to do it. Can anyone refresh my memory?

Steve's suggestion will work on more image types than just clips, but if
your clip is the type that allows it, you can try this:

Select the clip, and on the Picture toolbar, click Recolor Picture. Find the
color you want to match, click the arrow beside it, then click More Colors
and then the Custom tab. Write down the RGB values and use that for your
font.

To use Format Painter, you'd have to ungroup the clip, select the object,
and then click the Format Painter. Then click the object you want to paint
the format to. That's more than likely going to change the fill or line
color, not the font color, of the object you paint the format to, though.
