Match Format

Okay, I have a cell that has a conditional format for the background color.
Now, I'm wondering if I can have other cells match the format of that cell as
it changes.

For example, when my cell has "A" as its value, it has a red background. I
want the cell just to the left of it to also be red, or whatever it changes
to.

Please help, thanks!

I would change the conditional formatting of the cell to match the
criteria of the cell that turned red. For example, cell A1 = "A" , so
your conditional formatting in A1 would say if cell value is equal to
A, fill red. Cell B1 would say if A1= "A", then fill red.

What data is in the other cells? Is it dependent on what letter is in
the adjacent cells?

Actually, the example I gave didn't really explain well what I'd like to do.
What you replied with would work great in that application.

Actually, for my original cell, I have a conditional format that it be
colored red when nothing is in it (basically, this is a fast and easy way to
see which cells I still have to fill in to be able to complete the worksheet.
This is the only cell on the row that I need to fill in to complete the
information. So, I also want the rest of the row to turn red if that one
empty red cell is actually empty and red... if it is filled in, then all
cells on the row would have no fill.

I guess I just tried to use a simple example, but didn't actually apply to
my situation, sorry. If you can help with this new problem, awesome, and
thanks!
