I have a client whom the previous IT professional did not keep very good
records or group materials according to node or user. As a result I have
many install disks and little idea what goes with which.
I do know that it is possible to view the install key resident on a
particular node via the registry but am not clear as to the key location.
The motivation for this is that the president of the company needs his Office
XP (aka Office 2002) upgraded to use scanning and it needs the disks for this
to be added.
Could someone tell me where it might be found or appropriate work around if
needs be so I may use it as a means of matching Office installs with PC and
asset tagging them.
