maximum limit of pst file

I heard that the default limit of PST file is 20GB but when my own pst file
reached to only 1.8 GB its shows the message of you have to reached the
maximum limit of your PST file and after it no email comes in my inbox.
Please any one know about it so tell me how can I increase my limit of PST
