may be a virus??

MS office 2000 is installed and worked fine until today. When I click on any
Office program to open it, I get a message saying "This application must be
installed to run. Please run Setup from the location where you origionally
installed the application."

Any suggestions? I have no idea where my origional installation discs have
walked off to.
