McAccess Error with Ole Server or Active X Control

I have created a continuous form, which by itself works fine. It is a
watering schedule. I have a wateringID which is a primary field and an
autonumber field. I select a benchID and then type the date watered and how
much water was given.

If I select the benchNo on the form everthing works fine.

I am now trying to make the this a subform of QryBenchNo. I have a combo on
the main form, from which I select a bench. The BenchNo is linked to the
subform BenchID Masterfield, BenchNO child field.

When I select a bench from the combo, the bench number fills in next to the
autonumber of the WateringID. When I try to type, either the date of the
amount of water, I get the following error message:

"A problem occurred while Microsoft Office Access was communicating with the
ole server or ActiveX Control. Close the OLE server and restart it outside
of Microsoft Office Accesss. Then try the original operation again in
Microsoft Office Access."

The strange thing is that it gives the message, but then I can enter date or
amount of water. So the message is just an annoyance. I have no missing
liabraries. The same procedure works fine on other forms.

Any idea what could be happening? The form was working fine a few days ago,
now it get this message. Even my backups, which were working fine at the
time, now come up with this error. Something must have changed, but I don't
even know what to look for. As far as I know, I did not change anything,
other then downloading and installing office update.
