McAfee & Word

Has anyone encountered any problems with McAfee and Word 2000? After
installing the latest office update, opening Word caused the computer to hang
and then disables McAfee Virus Scan.

There is a thread on the Mc Afee webboard that might pertain to this:

The problem is with Virus Scan 9. I had problems saving files not opening
them. There is also white paper on running those to products with novell
causing problems opening and saving files.
