MCP certification?

Is there an MCP certification for MS Project? I know there is an MCSE
certification for Project Server, but I am looking for something just for the
Project desktop client. If there is, how do I find out about it, study for it
and take the test. etc.?

Microsoft does have an "Office Specialist" certification for Project 2000
and Project 2002. For details see:

THere's that one page still there Julie, but there's no other information on
it. Even the links going off of that page goes to other pages that don't
mention Project any longer. I might be wrong but I understood that the MCP
and MOUS certifications for Project, with the exception of Server as an
option in the MCSE, have all been discontinued and the exams retired.

Hi Steve,

I agree, I wouldn't be surprise to see MS stop the certication for Project
as I doubt it is one of their top money makers. I also believe that as MS has
not created a certification for MSP2003 it is a further sign they are backing
away from the MOS for Project. It would be nice if MS either confirmed or
denied the rumors.....

That being said, I was able to get to the page link I gave to Bill directly
off the Microsoft Office Specialist page under "requirements" and found the
links on the page dealing directly with MSP did work. It did take some
digging, but frankly there are few pieces of the MS site that don't ;-).
