.mda as reference

Brad

Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I have to put an old DB on a users PC, and there is a Macro that is setting
a library path. The path exists and the files are there, but the macro fails.
I go into a Module and go to References, and it says the reference to the
..mda is MISSING. I uncheck the missing reference, close Access, open the DB
again and try to add it by clicking the Browse button in the References
dialog box. I select the .mda but then Access tells me I can't add it that
way.

How else can I add it back in? Without it the DB won't work.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi David, thanks for the reply.

It says

"Can't add a reference to the specified file"

It may be the wrong version of Access?
Try opening the MDA in Access, as if it were an MDB. What happens?
